Freshwater Bay is a beautiful cove on the Isle of Wight, surrounded on both sides by steep, chalk cliffs. Mostly sandy, the water becomes deep very quickly, so it seems to be a quite a haven for water sports enthusiast.
This is the slip way for launching boats from the independent lifeboat station and I wanted to capture the movement of the waves with a long exposure shot.
The resulting effect gives the landscape a ghostly appearance, as the beach and wooden slipway eerily disappear into the mist of the waves.
